Šibenik known for its beauty and rich cultural historical monuments proudly stands in central Dalmatia. This small town will surprise you with strong heritage and importance in Croatian history. Central church in Šibenik, the Cathedral of St. James, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Architects built it completely in stone between 1431 and 1536, both in Gothic and in Renaissance style. Most important to note is that the interlocking stone slabs of the Cathedral's roof are built in unique way and that church has no bell-tower.
